Mary Beth Stocken, Past Recipient Giving Back

Pictured here with one of her many donation bundles, Mary Beth Stocken makes hooded towels in multiple colors with various patterns for the hood. One hooded towel is placed in each of the Welcome Baby Bags that Good Beginnings gives to every recipient family via a matched volunteer in-home visitor.

Mary Beth had a Volunteer In-Home Visitor when her second son was born. "My volunteer, Susan, was our 'Tuesday Morning Angel'. She came each week and helped around the home, watched the baby, played with my older sons and let me rest," stated Mary Beth while delivering some of her hand-made hooded towels. "My children have always had towels with a hood like these, and I thought perhaps other children would like one of their own. It is a way that I can show how much I appreciated the help from Good Beginnings during that extremely busy time with a young baby".

Now, with her children growing up, Mary Beth has time to give back to Good Beginnings. She is making and donating a hooded towel for each baby engaged in the Volunteer In-Home Visitor program during this fiscal year. The towels have been a huge hit!

Thank you, Mary Beth!
