The concept behind Good Beginnings’ programs are simple and powerful: any family with a new baby in the Upper Valley of both NH and VT can use a helping hand.

Good Beginnings has three main programs:

  • Our In-Home Volunteer Visitor Program, which provides weekly home visits for three consecutive months during the baby’s first six months, in order to

    • lend a helping hand

    • reduce isolation

    • offer respite

    • encourage and answer questions

    • provide health and safety information

    • read to babies and older children

    • support pregnant women on bed rest

  • Our Education and Support Program, which provides in-office consultation and over the phone support for families with young children, in order to

    • connect with community services

    • offer emergency resources

    • present educational information through guest speakers at the annual Dorothy Campion-Corcoran Lecture, held in-person or virtually as a webinar

  • Our MOM, mentors of moms, Program which provides virtual support to any family with a newborn in the greater Upper Valley area, in order to:

    offer a consistent relationship

    support new parents

    give encouragement and answer questions

    reduce isolation

    connect with community
